We came, we saw, we scrapped.

This weekend's scrapbooking jaunt to Wasaga Beach was  both relaxing and productive.  We ate, we scrapped, we ate some more, we scrapped some more... you get the picture.

Here's a quick pic of this weekend's production.  We had 2 digital scrappers, and 4 traditional scrappers, and this is what we accomplished.  And we still had time to eat!

Happy stamping/scrapping!

Chalkboards anyone?

I was surprised when they built my son's school a couple of years ago.  Why?  There are no chalkboards inside!  Everything is done on white boards.  It makes perfect sense, but think of all of those kids that don't get to pound the erasers outside anymore.  They are totally missing out!

For those of us that still like to play with chalk, I've got something fun for you!  It's called the chalkboard technique, and it's kinda fun.  My stamp class is creating this neat card this week using Bud Basics.  It's very similar to a card that I do in some of my workshops, but this card has a lot more impact because the flowers are on a dark background.  I'll put together a quick tutorial once stamp club is over, and post it.

Until tomorrow... happy stamping!

Stampy Club preview...

I've been working on our stamp club projects for next week, and am going to post 1 picture (yes, just one) of next week's projects.  We're going to be playing with chalk!  I don't play with the Stampin' Pastels very often, but I really should as I love the soft look that they add to a card or scrapbook page.

You won't see any posts over the weekend as I'll be up in Wasaga Beach having a scrappy weekend with 5 of my girlfriends.  We're planning on scrappin' a lot of pictures, but you know how life (and yummy summer drinks) get in the way.  Check back next week to see what we did!

Enjoy your weekend!!

The New Stampin' Up! Product Line Is...

Self-Adhesive Wall Decorations!!!

We have a bit of info to share this afternoon, but will have more tomorrow after we've seen the brochure that will be demonstrate to the world what this new product line will look like.

I can tell you that these elements are not the window clings that you find in most stores.  From what we can tell, they are larger versions of rub-ons that easy to apply, and easy to remove.  You'll be able to apply them to walls, home decor items, picture frames, plates, and anything else that catches your fancy.  We've been told that there will be 100 images available in Chocolate Chip or White, and 1 image will be available in Kraft.  I don't have specific details as of yet, but there will be an alphabet, art and phrases.  Many of the images will co-ordinate with Stampin' Up! stamps and Designer Series paper.

The brochure that lists all of the details will be available tomorrow.  Customer orders will be accepted as of July 1st.  Once I have additional details I'll post another entry to my crazy blog.

'Til tomorrow...

The Retiring Stamp list is out!

Stampin' Up! has released the list of stamp sets that are retiring (click here to see).  I'm a bit sad as some of my favourite sets are on the list, but I am looking forward to seeing all of the new stamps in the catalogue upon its release in August.  All retiring stamps will be available for order until August 10th, and there shouldn't be any issues with ordering a set at the last minute.

The same won't be true of the retiring accessories (anything that isn't a stamp set).  This list will be released on Monday, July 21st.  Items on the list are available on a first come, first served basis.  In the past we have found that some of the items disappear VERY quickly.   I am hosting an open house on the evening of the 21st for everyone to order their accessories before they are gone.  Watch for further details about this open house in my July newsletter and on my blog.

Finally... tomorrow will be a big day!  Tomorrow's the day that we find out what our new product line will be.  As soon as I know, I will post the details.

Happy stamping!

A new colour combination...

Another quick note today.  The card is a bit more time consuming because there is more flower cutting again, but I like the effect.  I saw a very similar card on Splitcoast and was intrigued with the colour combination - Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron.  This is my first card using my new Stitched Exotics stamps, as well as the background stamp Stitched.

I have used some Bali Breeze paper for the orange background, and the rest has been stamped and cut out.  The 2 large flowers were stamped tone-on-tone, while the smaller flowers were all stamped on white and cut out.  I also stamped the vine on white.  The large piece of So Saffron in the centre was stamped with the Stitched stamp, inked using So Saffron Classic ink.  Finally, the Thank You stamp comes from Enjoy Every Moment.

Enjoy!
