Come and see what's new!

The Holiday Mini Catalogue was released on Wednesday, and there are some wonderful new things to play with!  This morning I spent a bit of time with the Star Bright Designer Series Paper Ornaments, and the Season of Cheer Rub-Ons.  Here's what I came up with on the fly...

All of the pieces in this kit are die cut, and just need to be separated from the larger piece of paper.  The stars and circles are also scored, so there's no need to sit there with a ruler and a stylus, scoring your paper.  Stampin' Up! also includes 12 silver brads (for the round ornaments above), and 10 yards of silver elastic cord for hangers.

I wanted to create a few small embellishments for these ornaments without going overboard because I'm heading out to a workshop this evening, and don't want to scare everyone away with crazy ornaments!  The easiest way to create cute little tags is to use rub-ons and some scrap paper in Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, and Old Olive.

I attached the green star to the red star using a dot of Tombow Multi-purpose adhesive.  Great adhesion, and the green star still "pops" off the red star.  The kit contains 54 stars, which is enough to decorate your house, or oodles of Christmas gifts.

Now... this last guy certainly doesn't scream Christmas!  While I had my paper cutter out, I decided to make a quick pumpkin using some of the Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper.  I think he's kinda cute!

For those of you on my mailing list, I will be sending out the October newsletter this weekend.  If you are not on my mailing list but would like to be added, please drop me a quick e-mail at littleinklings@rogers.com and I'll make sure you receive the latest issue.

Enjoy!

The new catalogue (aka catty) and some corrections

Today's been a busy day!  I was off delivering catties this morning, my doorbell and phone rang pretty consistently throughout the day, and I had the usual "kid summer vacation" things going on as well.  For those of you that have seen it, do you like the new catty?  I have only truly gone through it twice, and will take some serious time this evening to decide what I'm going to order.

For those of you that haven't seen it,  you can download it in PDF form from the Stampin' Up! website.  Be prepared to wait though...  it's a pretty big document, and our website has been pretty busy over the past 24 hours.  The online catalogue that you're all familiar with has temporarily been replaced while SU works through the process of introducing Online Ordering.  That's right, you'll now be able to place orders online!  Details will follow as soon as they have been released.

A few corrections for the new catalogue have been posted:

June Promos & an Announcement?!?

There are two interesting promotions for June.

The Fresh Cut Sneak Peek has 2 items that will be new to the Fall/Winter catalogue, but you can get them now!  The Fresh Cuts stamp set has been released, along with some gorgeous new note cards that have been die cut!!!  Click here to see the stamps and the cards.

The price for the stamp set is $25.95 (5 stamps).  The price on the note cards is $10.75 (15 4"x4" cards).  Each can be purchased separately, but if you purchase the stamps and the cards, the price for the cards drops to $5.95.

In addition, all hostesses that hold a workshop with minimum sales of $525 will receive both for free!!!  I still have some space on my calendar, so let me know if you would like to book a workshop and try to earn these awesome products for free!!

The second promotion is for eScape.  What on earth is eScape?  Stampin' Up! is urging everyone to walk away from their computers, cell phones on June 25th, and reconnect with friends and family using traditional cards and notes.  They have put together a cute little bundle of products that will help you do just that.  For $36.05 (+tax & shipping of course) you will receive an assortment of Love Notes, a Circle of Friendship stamp set, a Rose Red classic ink pad, and a roll of 5/8" Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.   It's a great set of products, and the bundle is 25% less than if you purchased all items separately.  But... only until the end of June.  Click here for additional promo information.

Last, but certainly not least...  watch here for information on a New Stampin' Up! product line!  When?  June 17th...

May Promotions!

Yes, I know.  May started 3 days ago, and I haven't sent my monthly newsletter, or published any of the monthly promos.  It's been a busy weekend.  I should have done both on Friday night, but decided to scrap instead.  The letter "F" this time!  Sorry... no pictures yet.  It's not done.  I'll work on the pages after I finish this, provided I haven't gone to sleep.  We went to Canada's Wonderland today, to process our Season's Passes, and have some fun.  The place was a zoo!!!  We did have a great deal of fun though.  I'll post pics later - after I actually take them off of my camera!

Anyhow, on to the promos.

On Board with Chipboard

For the month of May, when you spend $40 on any Stampin' Up! products, you'll get 25% off all On Board chipboard products from pages 178-179 of the current catalogue.

Expand Your Toolbox Recruiting Promotion

For the entire month of May, join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator and get 20% off the Starter Kit, PLUS a free tin of qualifying Hodgepodge Hardware from the Spring-Summer Collection 2008.  The value of the Hardware is $35.95, and the discount on the kit is $52.00!  You can choose either the Aged Copper, the Antique Brass, or the Pewter.  The Styled Silver from the Occasions Mini is not part of this promotion.

*  One interesting note... the bottom of the official SU! flyer for this promotion, in very small and faint print, states the following:  "Hodgepodge Hardware in Aged Copper, Antique Brass, and Pewter finishes will retire with the Spring-Summer Collection 2008.  Hmmm... a sneak peek into the retired list!

If you have thought about becoming a demonstrator, and having the wonderful opportunity to teach the art of cardmaking or scrapbooking to others, this is a great time to do so!  If you need more information please call or e-mail me, or click here to go to my Stampin' Up! site where you can sign up on the spot to become a demonstrator!  Make sure you have my password "mingostamp" to access the site.

Cutting Combo Pack Special Offer

During the month of May, buy a Cutting Mat and get a Hobby Blade for FREE!!

As always, let me know if you need additional information on these awesome promotions, or would like to place an order.

One of these days I'll figure out how to add PDFs to this blog o' mine.  For those of you that already know, I'll bother you first!

Happy stamping!

Loonies for Littles - I've got pics!

I spent this afternoon playing with my Loonies for Littles Stampin' Kit.  What a lot of fun!  The instructions that come with the kit show you the layout for the cover, as well as one scrapbook page inside.  I now have the covers finished, as well as 12 of the 20 inside pages.  Although Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive are not my favourite colours to work with, this book is pretty cute.  It would make a great Mother's Day gift for someone!  As soon as I've finished this post I'm heading back into my dining room to try and finish it off.

Here are some pictures for you...

The top photo is the front cover of the album, and the other two are select pages from the inside.  The only things that I've added to the creation of this album are the use of Soft Sky classic ink, and the Priceless stamp set.  Many of the images on the stickers and paper are from this set, so I'm using it!  I haven't embellished the living daylights out of it - yet.  Stay tuned on that one...

Enjoy!

Wow!

I'm officially off to the races - the blog races that is.  I love stamping blogs, so I decided to start my own.  Hopefully someone, besides me that is, reads it!

Now that I've officially started my blog, what on earth am I going to put in it?  Well, I'll post photos of my projects, tidbits about classes I'm having, the odd note about my ever-growing scrapbook, as well as the odd photo of my loony family!

My husband  wants to know if he can use my blog to write about sports.  I told him 'no'.  He then asked if he can spout off about politics.  Once again, 'no'.  That's when I told him to get his own blog.  If he does, I'll let you all know because that man can write!  Seriously!  His football pool e-mails are legendary.  If we won the lottery, he'd quit his job and write books.

Anyhow, enjoy and I hope to see you.  Repeatedly that is.
